For several years, McKee Foods has been working to promote technical education for high school students and the skilled trades as a career.  We are proud to partner with the national organization, Be Pro Be Proud (BPBP) and several Tennessee trade associations, to launch a Tennessee based mobile workshop to travel the state, visiting high schools and sharing the benefits of choosing technical education and exploring careers in the skilled trades.

I am excited to invite you to see and experience the newly completed TN Be Pro mobile workshop at McKee Foods on October 2.   Plan on about 30 minutes to tour the workshop and meet our tour managers that will travel across the state interacting with high school students experiencing the mobile workshop simulators.  

Tennessee is one of six states that currently have a Be Pro mobile workshop. We are grateful for the partners that joined with us to build tomorrow’s workforce, including TN State Chamber of Commerce, Associated Builders and Contractors – TN Chapter, TN Concrete Association, TN Forestry Association, TN Roadbuilders, and the TN Trucking Association, and many companies noted by their logos on the truck, including the State of Tennessee, and the TN Board of Regents.

The mobile workshop will be parked at the entrance to the Ruth McKee Coference Center, 10260 McKee Drive, Collegedale,  and will be open from 9:00am to 3:00pm.  RSVP is not required, but appreciated if possible.  Looking forward to seeing you and sharing this great resource with you.
