Stronger Together: Highlights from our 2026 First Quarter New Member Orientation

On Friday, March 27th, we had the privilege of putting on our first New Member Orientation of 2026. The orientation kicked off at our TTA Headquarters in Nashville.

TTA President and CEO, Donna England, took the floor to welcome new members and provide a brief background on the Tennessee Trucking Association. Donna explained how TTA acts as the unified voice for Tennessee’s trucking industry.

Following introductions and the overview, we were thrilled to welcome Ricardo Fuentes from Alliance Interstate Risk (AIR) as our guest member speaker. Ricardo is a familiar face around the TTA, serving as the Vice Chair of the Middle Tennessee Safety Council. He spoke to the group about his background and how he became connected to our Association through attending a training with our very own Director of Safety, Marty Pollock. Having previously served as a state trooper, he emphasized the importance of a strong safety culture and how the TTA fosters it through its initiatives.

From there, Marty Pollock, our Director of Safety, took the stage. He provided updates on upcoming safety events and initiatives, discussed the various Safety Management Councils, and encouraged new members to get involved.

Foundation coordinator, Bri Law, closed out our event by sharing some exciting updates about the work of the Tennessee Trucking Foundation. The biggest news from Bri was the official launch of the Foundation's brand-new driving simulator! This state-of-the-art tool is a game-changer for our safety outreach programs. It’s an incredible educational resource that will be used at schools, fairs, and community events throughout Tennessee to promote highway safety awareness.

Thank you to everyone who attended this first orientation of 2026. A special thanks to Ricardo Fuentes and the team at Alliance Interstate Risk for their support and to all our TTA team for sharing their insights.

To our new members: welcome to the Tennessee Trucking Association! We are incredibly proud to have you as part of our membership. We are stronger together, and we can’t wait to see what we will achieve in 2026 and beyond!
