Tom Turcich

Keynote Speaker

Tom Turcich, the tenth person to walk around the world and the first to do so with a dog, captured the world's imagination with his remarkable journey. After the death of a close friend, Tom resolved to make the most of life. The day before his twenty-sixth birthday, he stepped out his front door to begin an adventure spanning seven years, twenty-eight thousand miles and thirty-eight countries.

His story is a reminder that fulfillment lies not solely in reaching a destination but in the transformative power of the journey itself. Tom has been featured on CNN, BBC, Good Morning America, The Guardian and countless other news outlets.

Scott Carey

Shareholder, Baker Donelson

Scott Carey is a Shareholder at Baker Donelson's Nashville office and serves as Chair of the Transportation Group. He specializes in complex business and tort litigation, particularly in transportation-related cases, representing stakeholders in matters such as catastrophic injuries, cargo claims and contract breaches.

Carey also advises motor carriers on safety and provides training. He is highly rated in his field, listed in The Best Lawyers in America and Mid-South Super Lawyers, and holds a J.D. from the University of Tennessee. He is an active speaker and member of transportation organizations.

Paul Bailey

Tennessee Senator, District 15

Senator Paul Bailey is a farmer, small business owner and Chairman of the Senate Commerce and Labor Committee. He has helped create thousands of jobs in District 15 and has been a strong advocate for business growth, infrastructure and agriculture.

He and his wife, Amy, live in White County and have three children.

Rocky King

Partner, Adams & Reese

Rocky is National Trial Counsel for commercial motor carriers and trucking companies, specializing in complex motor vehicle accident litigation. He defends transportation clients in high-exposure cases, leveraging his knowledge of trucking regulations and a strategic approach.

Rocky collaborates with insurers, fleet owners and safety managers to safeguard interests in catastrophic injury and wrongful death cases. Additionally, he advises clients on risk management, accident response and regulatory compliance to minimize exposure to claims.

Donna Lemm

Donna Lemm

Chief Strategy Officer, IMC Logistics

Donna Lemm is the Chief Strategy Officer at IMC Logistics, the leading drayage provider in the U.S. She drives strategic growth and market expansion, boasting over 35 years in global logistics with previous leadership roles at SeaLand Services and Mallory Alexander International Logistics.

Lemm is on the boards of the Intermodal Association North America and the Agriculture Transportation Coalition and has testified before the Senate on cargo theft. A national speaker on supply chain and intermodal issues, she advocates for collaboration in the logistics sector to improve supply chain security, efficiency and growth.

Tommy Hodges

Tommy Hodges

Goggin Warehousing, LLC

Tommy Hodges began his trucking career on the docks of Tennessee Carolina Transportation in 1965 before serving in Vietnam with the U.S. Army. After returning, he stepped into management at TCT. He later joined Spector Freight Systems, where he advanced through leadership roles before becoming president and owner of multiple transportation and logistics companies.

Over the years, Tommy has remained deeply involved in industry leadership and community service, holding key roles with the Tennessee Trucking Association, American Trucking Associations and several nonprofit and faith-based organizations. He now leads a diverse portfolio of businesses, including Titan Transfer, Goggin Warehousing and various real estate ventures.

Connie Vaughan

Connie Vaughan

McKee Foods Transportation, LLC

Connie is responsible for directing all aspects of government relations for McKee Foods, including policy and position statements, while working with members of Legal, Tax, Finance, Transportation and HR. Connie's work to build positive relationships with elected and community leaders has a direct impact on McKee Foods business continuity and profitability.

Connie has worked directly for the McKee family for more than 30 years, the past 17 years as Government Relations Director. She serves on numerous industry boards, including the TTA Executive Committee and Foundation, the ATRI Research Advisory Council, and served as TTA Chairman from September 2019 through September 2021.

Jason Mumpower

Jason Mumpower

Comptroller of the Treasury

Jason E. Mumpower was elected Tennessee's 35th Comptroller of the Treasury on January 13, 2021. He is responsible for leading the Office of the Comptroller of the Treasury, which manages 13 divisions and more than 600 employees, and ensuring the Office fulfills its mission to make government work better.

Prior to his service with the Comptroller's Office, Comptroller Mumpower served in the Tennessee General Assembly as the State Representative for Sullivan and Johnson counties. He was first elected to office at age 23 and during his 14-year tenure held the positions of House Minority Leader and House Majority Leader. He joined the Comptroller's Office in December 2010, serving as former Comptroller Justin P. Wilson's Deputy Comptroller and Chief of Staff.

Pat Marsh

Pat Marsh

Tennessee Representative

Pat, from a close-knit family in Fayetteville, Tennessee, graduated from Fayetteville Central High School and earned a business degree in Transportation from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville.

He began his career at Ford Motor Company and later joined Goggin Truck Line, which he eventually purchased and expanded to 500 tractors and 1,000 trailers. In 1995, he co-founded Big G Express with his brother Jack. Elected in 2009 to represent the 62nd District, Pat became Speaker Pro Tempore in 2021 and serves on several committees.

He lives in Shelbyville with his wife, Mary, and has two married sons and several grandchildren.
