Dale Allen has served as General Counsel and lobbyist for the Tennessee Trucking Association since 1987. He serves on the Tennessee Trucking Association Board, Tennessee Trucking Association Executive Committee, and the Tennessee Trucking Foundation Board.
Dale worked as an intern for House Speaker Ned McWherter in Tennessee legislature in 1980. After completion of law school in 1983, Dale clerked for Tennessee Attorney General William Leech. He entered into the private practice of law in Nashville in 1984. Since going into private practice, his career has been focused on lobbying in the Tennessee legislature to defend and promote the interests of a number of clients, including major transportation companies. He is currently a partner in the law firm of Adams and Reese LLP. He continues to serve as General Counsel for major trucking companies based in Tennessee, coordinating corporate and litigation matters throughout the country.
Dale is a graduate of the University of Tennessee at Martin and the Cumberland School of Law at Samford. He served twenty-eight years as a JAG Officer in the Tennessee Army National Guard, retiring in 2016 as an 0-6. He also serves on the National Guard Association of the United States Educational Foundation Board in Washington D.C. and the Tennessee Performing Arts Corporation Board.
